CHECK OUT THAT STAR! SUMMER MUSICAL AT "CAMP WESTWOOD"
A modern day lady who is a Christmas “Grinch” with the nature of Cruella DeVil and wants nothing to do with anyone enjoying Christmas is the center of our story. She encounters a surprise visit to the first Christmas and eventually, experiences a change of heart. Three “wise” men have quite a time following the star, and a certain younger angel isn’t much help. Because we are THINKING CHRISTMAS for this musical – our two week theme will be – Christmas in Hawaii. We will explore some special things around celebrating Christmas in places with no snow!! Imagine that! The camp includes time for crafts, recreation, bible study, prop making, drama and acting, and of course, music and food!
When: August 3 - 13, 9:00 a.m. to noon: week 1: Mon-Fri; week 2: Mon-Thurs.
Musical Presentation: August 13 - 7:00 p.m. & August 16 - 10:00 a.m.
Where: Westwood United Methodist Church
Who: Children entering first through 9th grade in the Fall of 2009.
Parents are invited to participate as well!
